HAIR STRAIGHTENER question!!! 10 points!?
Filed under UncategorizedDec 28okay, so basically i’m looking for an amazing hair straightener that isn’t going to damage my hair as bad as cheaper straightener’s and is more protective than others .. i’ve came across CHI straighteners that have great reviews and a hairart t3 wet and dry sounds good and also GHD straighteners but are those sold in the uk? because i live in the us but i love the hot pink one and it sounds good …… so which do you prefer & why, i don’t care the price but i need to know a good one and help with all these straightener names! haha thanks alot(:
links to sites would be very helpful if you can! Thanks for answering also!

Ceramic means nothing when it comes to straightening hair. Make sure it has teeth on the plates to comb through or it’s just a flattener, not a straightener. Steam is wonderful as it’s more healthy to straighten that way. Of course, you could always go to a salon and have it chemically straightened.

I have really thin hair and use a chi. It works really well and doesn’t fry my hair.

Ok, I am a hairstylist and I have owned 3 chi flat irons…they come with a 1 year warranty and after that first year they ALL broke!! You would think I would have learned! CHI=”CHI”TING you out of your money!! Wet to dry flat irons are VERY damaging to your hair! I LOVE my Paul Mitchell flat iron!! I use it everyday on my clients! It is ceramic and comes with a LIFETIME warranty and it heats up to 400 degrees. It is very gentle on the hair (just make sure you spray a heat protector before using…Damage Control by AVEDA is awesome!) Paul Mitchell is the way to go if you are looking for sleek smooth hair…you can even curl your hair with it!! I LOVE IT!! Also, the GHD is pretty good…we sell the hot pink one at my salon! But I love me my Paul Mitchell iron!!
